Vakulenko Dmytro (born 10 april 1973, city Voronezh, Russian) — Ukrainian researcher in the field of medical informatics and cybernetics. Doctor biological science (2016), professor (2019), Head of the Department of Medical Informatics I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University (2016), public figure (2000), entrepreneur.

Biography[ред. | ред. код]

In 1997, Dmytro Vakulenko graduated from the Faculty of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering of Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University and received a degree in Biotechnical Devices and Systems and a qualification as an electronics engineer.

In 2002, he graduated from the I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University and qualified as a nurse.

1997-2000 - Design Engineer at the Consumer Radio Equipment Department of the Ternopil Orion Radio Plant.

Since 2002, he has been working at the Department of Medical Informatics at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University assistant (2002-2009), associate professor (2009-2016).

Since 2016, he has been the Head of the Department of Medical Informatics at TNMU. Since 2019, he has been Professor of the Department of Medical Informatics.

Scientific activity[ред. | ред. код]

In 2009, Dmytro Vakulenko defended his PhD thesis "Models and Methods of Optimisation of Bone Tissue Reconstruction Processes" (speciality 01.05.04 - System Analysis and Optimal Decision Theory) at the Specialised Academic Council D 26.001.35 of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

In 2016 he defended his doctoral dissertation "Information system of medical (physical) rehabilitation" (speciality 14.03.11 - medical and biological informatics and cybernetics) at the Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education.

Research interests: medical informatics and cybernetics, medical information systems, mathematical modelling, system analysis, methods of processing and analysis of biosignals, arterial oscillography integrated into the Oranta-AO software .

Author of the medical information system Oranta-MIS .

Co-author of the method of arterial oscillography ( Vakulenko D.V., Vakulenko L.O.) In addition to determining the values of systolic and diastolic pressure and heart rate when measuring blood pressure with an electronic tonometer, he proposed to use methods of morphological, temporal, spectral and cluster analysis for arterial oscillograms. In January 2022, Ukrmedsert LLC issued certificates of conformity of the quality management system in accordance with EN ISO 13485:2018 and the requirements of the technical regulations for medical devices of the Oranta-AO Software class IIa.

Author and co-author of more than 100 scientific publications, teaching aids, national textbooks, 1 monograph, 7 patents.

Chairman of the Board of the Centre Harmony NGO.

Dmytro Vakulenko is a co-coordinator and expert on the implementation of the values of the Ukrainian Charter for a Free person in the community and education of Ternopil.

He organised the exhibition "Miraculous Icons of Ternopil", an exhibition of computer copies of Taras Shevchenko's paintings (about 50 paintings) for employees, students and pupils of secondary and higher educational institutions of Ternopil.

A YouTube channel "Let's Live by the Ukrainian Charter of a Free Man" was created to visualise the values set out in the Ukrainian Charter of a Free Person [1] .
