What is your relationship with Michael Minsky? We are his relatives and try to complete his archive of Ukrainian Music. Perhaps you can help us.

Actually, no relationship to him. He was a friend of my late Father, who knew him from the DP camps in Germany. When my Father organized a reunion of artists and literati from those very camps, he arrived in Toronto to participate in a concert at the reunion in the 1950's. You may click on Мінський Михайло to read the article in Ukrainian that I wrote about him; it is based on the English-language Encyclopedia of Ukraine published by the University of Toronto Press. His photo is from our family photo album: my Father had pictures of performers from the concert and he was among them. As a young boy, I remember that there were 78 RPM records of his songs, probably on the Arka label. Other than that, I really can't give you much more information.--лк 14:01, 1 квітня 2009 (UTC)

Because the story was not correct and not complete in the Encyclopedia of Ukraine, an Ukrainian friend repaired the tekst on Wikipedia. We try to complete the Minsky archives, so if you have material or concertprogramms, photo's, than please... Also the record collection is not yet complete.
