Buddhism (Sanskrit बुद्ध धर्म, buddha dharma IAST; piles बुद्ध धम्म, buddha dhamma, "the doctrine of the Enlightened One" [1]) is a religious-philosophical doctrine (dharma) about spiritual awakening (bodhi) that arose in the nineteenth century. in ancient India. The founder of the doctrine is Siddhartha Gautama, who was later named after Shakyamuni Buddha. The original name of the doctrine is dharma (law, teaching) or Buddha dharma (Buddha teaching). The word "Buddhism" was created by Europeans in the nineteenth century [2].
