General Information

NAQA approved the Strategy, which defines the mission, goals, values and principles of its activity.

The National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance is an associate member of the European Network for Higher Education Quality Assurance (ENQA) and a member of four international organizations in the field of quality assurance and academic integrity, namely: the The International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE), the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA), the International Center for Academic Integrity (ICAI) and the Global Academic Integrity Network (GAIN).

Main areas of activity

• accreditation of study programmes (Junior Bachelor, Bachelor, Master, Doctor of Philosophy);

• institutional accreditation of higher education institutions, accreditation of independent assessment institutions;
• monitoring of internal higher education QA systems of HEIs and scientific institutions;
• observance of academic integrity;
• administration of the formation of one-time specialized scientific councils;
• reporting on the state of higher education in Ukraine, forming proposals for legislation in higher education quality ;
• regulatory activity ;
• international cooperation
• development of university rankings.

NAQA Structure

NAQA Board consists of 23 persons appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the basis of the decision of the Competition Commission for the selection of members of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance based on the results of a competitive selection conducted in compliance with the principles of gender balance and sectoral representation.

NAQA has the Ethics Committee and the Appeals Committee.

Organizational, financial-economic, technical, informational, legal, analytical and other support for NAQA activities, creation of appropriate conditions for NAQA work, providing preparation and holding the meetings, ensuring the relations with state bodies and the public are carried out by the Secretariat[1]. NAQA secretariat consists of 61 staff units.
