I was born in ukraine many years ago and was reading this article, it's great! I just wanted to point out if you want to use "general algorithm" you might use euclidian distance but explicitly mention that the distance function can be chosen. If you work with in R^n it doesn't really mean that euclidian distance is the only one possible distance. So far great work :).
