Ihor Zhdanov (born 14 December 2004), better known as w0nderful, is a Ukrainian professional Counter-Strike: 2 player for Natus Vincere.

Early life

Zhdanov was born on 14 December 2004 in Odessa, Ukraine. He started playing Counter-Strike 1.6 when he was 5 years old. He said about his first acquaintance “I remember I came home from kindergarten, my uncle played CS 1.6 on his laptop, and I always watched him. And when he went to work, I played by myself. And it was like that for 7 years”. When he was 12 years old, his parents bought him a computer, but he still played Counter-Strike 1.6. Because he hasn't got much money to buy Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. In 2018 he at first launched Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. He played in usual matchmaking, like 5vs5, until he achieved the rank “Legendary Eagle”. After that he thought that on this rank playing only dishonest players and started to play on the platform “Faceit”. And achieved the highest level 10 in half of a year. He wanted to be a football player, but he chose to be a professional player in CS. He chose CS, because he started to play football when he was 9-10 years old, but he knew people that started when they were 5 years old and they of course will be better than him. He started playing CS when he was 5 years old and he have succeeded and chose to play CS. Also he got banned from tournaments in Odessa because he played so good and his team always won.

Career

2020

W0nderful's first match was a match with team called SpeedRuners. It was final of Lenovo Legion Cup Ukraine for 70.000₴. In this match he was stand-ined. And he played very good how for first professional game in 15 years old. But unfortunately they lost this match, but this was first experience of professional games. Next his match was for team Gucci Squad. And it was also stand-ined. He played all tournament to 1/4 final of Ukrainian National Cybersport League 2020. Unfortunately they also lost this 1/4 final and he won $1,367 After this games he recieved invite to team MAJESTY. Where he played for 4 months. He won $6,280. After that he left this team and joined to team Project X. For this team he won some tournaments and got $4,000. Overall in 2020 he with his teams won $14,276.

2021

In 2021 he still played in Project X to March. And after that he came to team Trasko. And there he played to October. And earned $14,621. Also he was stand-ined for one tournament for Gucci Squad again. And started to play in legendary team HellRaisers. In addition in 2021 he gave interview to youtuber "Shoke". And set a goal for 2022 year. He said "In a year I will be in the top 30 team in the world - one hundred percent". And also he said that his dream is to play in NAVI. He said about that: "There is no chance of getting there yet, and not much in the future either. There are too strong players there. Now the best player S1mple, then M0nesy, most likely. And I’m AWP player – it seems to me that there’s no chance at all". Overall in 2021 he with his teams won $20,350.

2022

In 2022 he continued to play in HellRaisers. In 24 February because of the war in Ukraine, he was forced to leave the country. With this organisation BIG helped him. In March, because of the war in Ukraine, Hellraisers has disbanded their CS:GO team. There he earned 0$. After that he stand-ined for one tournament from BIG and earned $162. And for one tournament for team Monte and earned 0$. Next in 3 months, he got invite from russian-serbian organisation Team Spirit. And he started to play for them. Ukrainian community was not so happy for that action, because in this team he played with 4 russian. But that was his goal to play in team that in the top 30 in the world. And Team Spirit was like that. After that person who work in ESIC did statement that said that w0nderful played in games that was intentionally lost and played dishonest. But player rejected this statements. Next Team Spirit did statement that they are against dishonest games and they spoke to him with this statements. Overall in 2022 he with his teams won $200,892, also they was in 1/4 final of the best tournament of the year IEM Rio Major 2022 and won one tournament Fire League 2022: Global Finals.

2023

In 2023 he still has played in Team Spirit for some tournaments. And in April Team Spirit wanted to do global permutation, because they had not so many results. Overall in Team Spirit he earned $224,731. And w0nderful was bought by team Sprout in August. He played there to November. And earned $23,750. After that Natus Vincere bought him for their team to replace S1mple. And he play in NAVI for our days. His dream became true. From that time in NAVI he played only one tournament where they achieved 5th-6th place and won $20,000. Overall for 28.11 in 2023 he earned $67,750
