Жан-Крістоф Балуе (фр. Jean-Christophe Balouet; нар. 12 листопада 1956 — 31 березня 2021) — французький палеонтолог. Співпрацював з Сторрсом Олсоном зі Смітсонівського інституту. Вивчав вимерлих птахів та рептилій з Нової Каледонії, Тонги та інших тихоокеанських островів..[2][3] У співавторстві він описав види Accipiter efficax, Accipiter quartus, Porphyrio kukwiedei, Tyto? letocarti, Gallicolumba longitarsus, Rhynochetos orarius, Caloenas canacorum та Megapodius molistructor. Балуе також знайшов залишки карликового крокодила Mekosuchus inexpectatus та вимерлий рід черепахи Meiolania в Новій Каледонії. У 1987 році описав гігантського голуба Ducula david з Тонги.
