"The Orchid is a flower that may seem delicate but is on the contrary strong. It lasts over time and also develops in difficult conditions. I find that the woman can be well represented by this flower".

The idea for this Prize was conceived by Cinzia Sgambati-Colman, journalist, entrepreneur, mother and wife who has always tried to maintain balance among all her roles. The Prize is a tribute to those women who, by assuming one or more of these roles, have managed to achieve something special that has marked their life or that of others. Nominations can come from all over the world and are considered without any racial or cultural distinction.  A brief summary sheet highlights the relevant elements of the candidate's private and/or professional life and the motivation for her choice.
